Loved the quirky decor which provided plenty of conversation. Great lunch menu with ample serving sizes. Good friendly service. Will definitely visit again.

This cafe has excellent food, a good wine list and a friendly, atmosphere. The waiting stuff with were helpful and attentive. Non-descript on the outside, it is like walking into a secondhand shop on the inside - shabby sheik full of quirky porcelain collections!

Amazing. The dish was the whole flounder in caper and butter sauce. Sensational. My other dish was the kingfish special of the day with a berry sauce. Very good dish. But to be honest, the flounder was the star and I would have happily paid for it twice. Highly recommend Plato for menu, decor and terrific staff.

A hidden gem. Great seafood, very generous potions and a decor from yesteryear. Enjoyed our meal, enjoyed the service. Definitely not 5 star or silver service but great food served with a genuine smile, no hesitation in going back next time in Dunedin

We enjoyed a fabulous meal with very good service in an unusual and quirky environment. We had a steak and a fish curry which were stunning. Amazing flavours, good quantities even enough for us to take some home.would definitely recommend as options for all tastes. We will be back there soon.
