Thistle Sweet Shop

They have a fantastic range of sweets and chocolate, including American and British candy. Good fudge selection and lots of cake decorating supplies. The shop is tiny though, so if there are more than five people in there it's incredibly cramped and hard to move around. The owner is lovely, one staff memeber I've come across with curly hair isn't as nice and I'd rather shop somewhere else if I see her in there.

Nice shop great pick and mix options for kids and gift baskets the fudge melts in your mouth and is cut into big slices it's brightly decorated inside the store and the owner is warm and friendly

Lovely little shop, reminds me of when I was a child. A must visit if you are not from Wanganui. Such a great treat for the kids. Best fudge I've tried. fondant isn't as good as the one from the supermarket but they offer everything else you need to bake cakes. and all the lollies you can think of. parking is difficult in the part of the avenue but this little shop is worth taking your time finding a park.

Great selection of lollies, i take my son here when he is good for a treat. There are heaps of single lollies you can pick and put in a bad. Great local lolly shop.
