Looking for authentic Thai cuisine in Wanaganui? Then visit Exotic Thai Restaurant today! Recently opened, Exotic Thai is a family owned and operated restaurant located in at Victoria Avenue, in the heart of Wanganui. We are fully licensed and also provide wide range of Thai beer options. Our aim is to serve customers with authentic Thai cuisine cooked to perfection. We believe in providing fresh, healthy food and can cater for many dietary and allergy requirements. Food is prepared fresh every day to ensure tasty flavoursome dishes. Exotic Thai Restaurant is open for lunch and formal dining in the evening. Our lunchtime Smorgasbord has six dishes to choose from and plate sizes from small to extra-large. The Thai Smorgasbord 11.30am - 2pm. Formal dining in the evenings includes a complete 'A La Carte' menu which starts from 4.30 pm. Our restaurant seats 42 patrons inside and we have four tables outside, for casual drinking and eating. Takeaway options available. The restaurant is open from 9am through to late

Staff were nice and the food was served hot, place was clean. The tables are really close together though and you can't help but overhear others conversations, the chicken dish I ordered mild but was served pretty spicey, so it totally overpowered any flavour that might have been there.

I am not a huge fan of curry but i went here for a friends birthday and i was pleasantly surprised - they have other stuff on the menu for those who can't eat curry.

The pepper and garlic beef was watery and flavourless, it seemed like they used frozen vegetables in the stir fry or something it was just watery and no flavour. Also we ordered drinks with our meals and they never came out until after the entree and we had to ask where they were before they got them. Meanwhile a table that walked in after us had been given table water and they were being asked for drink orders while we had been there for 30 minutes eaten entree and not even received the drinks we paid for let alone table water. very small amount of rice given for size of meals.

Really great authentic tasting Thai food. The staff are very welcoming and friendly which makes for a lovely dining experience.

love the food and service here. fast clean and every mouthful tastes as good as the first. I recommend the dumplings
