Recently opened, Exotic Thai is a family owned and operated restaurant located in at Victoria Avenue, in the heart of Wanganui. We are fully licensed and also provide wide range of Thai beer options. Our aim is to serve customers with authentic Thai cuisine cooked to perfection. We believe in providing fresh, healthy food and can cater for many dietary and allergy requirements. Food is prepared fresh every day to ensure tasty flavoursome dishes. Exotic Thai Restaurant is open for lunch and formal dining in the evening. Our lunchtime Smorgasbord has six dishes to choose from and plate sizes from small to extra-large. The Thai Smorgasbord 11.30am - 2pm. Formal dining in the evenings includes a complete 'A La Carte' menu which starts from 4.30 pm. Our restaurant seats 42 patrons inside and we have four tables outside, for casual drinking and eating. Takeaway options available. The restaurant is open from 9am through to late

      I am not a huge fan of curry but i went here for a friends birthday and i was pleasantly surprised - they have other stuff on the menu for those who can't eat curry.

      Staff were nice and the food was served hot, place was clean. The tables are really close together though and you can't help but overhear others conversations, the chicken dish I ordered mild but was served pretty spicey, so it totally overpowered any flavour that might have been there.

      The staff are super friendly here, and they make a great Thai dish! The dishes are spicy and can either be made to knock you socks off or just tickle them. I highly recommend this place, and the cost is really reasonable too.
