Recently opened, Exotic Thai is a family owned and operated restaurant located in at Victoria Avenue, in the heart of Wanganui. We are fully licensed and also provide wide range of Thai beer options. Our aim is to serve customers with authentic Thai cuisine cooked to perfection. We believe in providing fresh, healthy food and can cater for many dietary and allergy requirements. Food is prepared fresh every day to ensure tasty flavoursome dishes. Exotic Thai Restaurant is open for lunch and formal dining in the evening. Our lunchtime Smorgasbord has six dishes to choose from and plate sizes from small to extra-large. The Thai Smorgasbord 11.30am - 2pm. Formal dining in the evenings includes a complete 'A La Carte' menu which starts from 4.30 pm. Our restaurant seats 42 patrons inside and we have four tables outside, for casual drinking and eating. Takeaway options available. The restaurant is open from 9am through to late

      This is in my opinion the best Thai place in Whanganui as the dishes are amazing and so tasty. I really love the staff there, they are really friendly and happy to explain a dish is needed.

      when I visited this Thai restaurant I was greeted with very friendly staff at the door and they came and helped me with my food choice. The food was very delicious and the waitress was very cute. Amazing food and great service. We truly enjoyed the stuffed tofu and sexy little duck!
