      This is one of the best museums I have been to anywhere in the world. It is free, has great permanent exhibitions, really interesting temporary exhibitions and loads to see and do besides. There is plenty of parking around and loads to do in the surrounding area when you are done. Highly highly recommended when in Wellington!

      Absolutely fantastic museum showcasing NZ history - you can easily spend a whole day exploring and learning. Great for solo trips, with friends and family-friendly with lots of games for kids also

      Te Papa is brilliant no matter your age - there is always something to interest everyone. Would highly recommend coming here if you’re in Wellington. The Gallipoli exhibition was extremely impressive.

      Really great place to take the family and have an exploration day with lots of free activities. My kids really enjoyed the interactive zone and we also enjoyed the Anzac display when it was there. You may need more than a day to really enjoy and explore and we will definitely return when we are in Wellington next time.
