Roti Chenai Cafe

We visited Wellington for WOW. We bought a groupon voucher which got us two mains and two entrees. The food portion was average. We had the chicken and beef rending. They were both rendang but did not taste alike which was good for us as we wanted to share. The service was ok, unlike what I read from the many reviews. Not exactly friendly but practical. This restaurant is good for a quick meal that will not burn your pocket. The food were quite nice with a difference, not the usual kiwi Indian kind of food.

I have eaten here in the past and really enjoyed it. Whilst the service is still good in this small restaurant the food quality is not what it used to be - ok but not great.

I have been going here for years, since university and it never disappoints. It is one of the few places you can get a southern indian range of dishes. BYO which is also good.

Love Roti Chenai - especially chicken lunch meal. Authentic South Indian food is so hard to find at times, but thank goodness for Roti Chenai. Delicious curry chicken, dahl, roti, rossum, and a nice place to eat. Friendly, quiet, out of the way and close to Manners St, quick service and cooking. Quality and service never hinders!!
