New World Supermarkets

Love this store, easily the best presented New World in the region. Can feel a bit pricey but the quality of the produce, meat and deli makes it worthwhile. They also have great specials on lots of items so "shopping the specials" helps stick to the budget. All the staff are helpful and happy. The craft beer and fresh cakes are the highlights of the store.

Best bakery section (omg those custard doughnuts) and reasonable prices. This supermarket is definitely my favourite in Wellington. Great, fresh produce, friendly staff, always clean and well stocked.
A suprisingly severe lack of chilled sparkling water though!

Thorndon New World is by far the best supermarket in Wellington City. It is always a very pleasant place to shop, the staff are always friendly, and it is well laid-out. The bakery section is my favourite, they have the most amazing food, much better than any other bakery section! I occasionally find they don't stock things I want that Chaffers New World does, but I definitely prefer to shop here anyway.

This supermarket has the best selection of beer in the wellington region. A most see for any craft beer lover. I find everyday shopping is pretty expensive.

The breakfast pies are the best but they always sell out far to quickly!

I think this supermarket need to get staff to collect the trolley more often, I saw a trolley hit on a car last week.
