Miyabi Sushi Japanese Cafe

We are visiting Wellington and we were told about Miyabi. So happy that we found this comfortable place. Jade the owner is a real sweetheart and the restaurant is very cozy and comfortable. The menu is extensive, both Chinese and Japanese dishes. Sooooo delicious. If you are craving some fantastic Chinese food and Japanese dishes this is the place to go. Highly recommend

Excellent quality of foods for lunch. This restaurant is always busy between 12 pm and 1 pm. So booking a table may be necessary. Highly recommend for informal dining with family and friends.

We went for supper. The place was clean and staff were friendly enough, however the meals were not so good, particularly they were already cold when served. I didn't feel that I had a Japanese meal.

Tried the tempura udon. I thought the dashi was pretty good however the noddles were not standard Japanese udon noodles (never saw noodles like that in Japan) and what is with the lettuce in the dashi ? That is just plain weird and nothing like that I ever saw in Japan. No need. Otherwise not too bad. Reasonably authentic.

This restaurant has really amazing Japanese food. It is tucked away in a corner of a nice lane. The restaurant is set out like a Japanese little store just like you would expect in japan. The service is great. The portions are also generous. Highly recommend their tempura and sushi.
