Mekong Cafe

Go to pho place and it's really good! Prices have gone up but it's worth it as it's so good. Took family here before and they all loved it

Food isn't as authentic to Vietnamese as I would have liked but it was fresh, tasty, plentiful and inexpensive. Service is friendly and prompt. No alcohol service, just standard cafe drinks. Good for budget dining and a quick meal.

We went to have dinner. It was quiet which suited us. The food unfortunately was lesser quality than my past visits. The staff were attentive.

It seems everyone enjoys Vietnamese food, and the Mekong serves wonderful dishes at a very reasonable price. Try the summer rolls - they are the freshest I found in Wellington, yummy. In fact, all the dishes were fresh and delicious, so we returned the next night to sample more from the menu. Lovely staff too, who are helpful and friendly. What more do you want? Try the Mekong.

The shop is situated right on the highway coming back from the tunnel but there is parking in Marion street. Highly recommend the pho however pricing has recently creeped up significantly (perhaps change in ownership) but still delicious flavours remaining
