My favourite italian in Wellington central

Went here for a nice authentic Italian dinner and found this place to be cozy. The staff were attentive and service was prompt. My starter of salmon tartare and caviar was delicious. For main I ordered the beef shin risotto, which was great but small serving for the risotto. We also had veal and it was good. Overall a decent restaurant to try if you're in windy Welly.

Lived here for years, drive past multiple times a week and never knew it was here. Lucky find up in Pipitea. Attentive, friendly service. Wine list is varied, but seems a bit tired. The menu has a good variety of options but could be somehow a bit more refined, particularly for the price... I appreciate the old-world style, but Welly is an exciting eating city. If you are in the area its worth a stop in.

The food was excellent, atmosphere was nice, waiter and waitress were friendly but feel like they were a bit pushy to get you to order more food (entree, sides and desserts)

Four of us went for dinner and had a lovely time. Rosa our waitress was superb! She was personable and witty and just enough chat to be interesting. The other young lady was also great and helpful. The only little negative thing we would say I suppose was that the wine pours were a bit mean. Overall a fab place to eat.
