Four of us went for dinner and had a lovely time. Rosa our waitress was superb! She was personable and witty and just enough chat to be interesting. The other young lady was also great and helpful. The only little negative thing we would say I suppose was that the wine pours were a bit mean. Overall a fab place to eat.

We had pasta (tomato one) and a mushroom pizza both were delicious, the pasta sauce being a real authentic italian one - light and tangy. and the pasta the proper al dente .. the pizza was also great. Then we had the cappuccino creme brulee also delicious. It is by far our best meal in NZ so far and have already booked again for tomorrow...It also has a nice ambience and the staff is nice and attentive. With red checked table cloths its a real slice of italian paradise and we highly recommend it.

My favourite italian in Wellington central

Lived here for years, drive past multiple times a week and never knew it was here. Lucky find up in Pipitea. Attentive, friendly service. Wine list is varied, but seems a bit tired. The menu has a good variety of options but could be somehow a bit more refined, particularly for the price... I appreciate the old-world style, but Welly is an exciting eating city. If you are in the area its worth a stop in.

Absolutely delicious authentic Italian cuisine. Simple, tasty and generous food. Genuine, lovely staff. Completely, wholeheartedly recommend.
