It's a great spot. The inside is very quirky. There's a good selection of food, and nice coffee. Friendly staff.

Iconic Wellington Cafe with amazing HOMEMADE desserts and Eggs Benedict, in addition to tons of other stuff. Great location with a sweet view. Just a classic place to go. Fast paced and good service, I have never been disappointed, always take out of town guests. YUMMY!

Great food and delicious cabinet food! The view is amazing and the staff are very nice

I've had amazing food and service here before, I love the beautiful view of the cafe. However, I recently experienced terrible customer service here. My partner and I waited for an extended period of time at the "please wait here to be seated" sign - in front of several staff who were not serving other customers, and it wasn't one of the crazy busy times that Maranui are famous for - there were free tables and no line. They ignored us the entire time, not even telling us they'd be with us soon or anything. Then when we were finally seated there were again massive delays and we were not given water or a menu or an apology for the delays. We ended up leaving.
Had I not had previously good experiences here I would give 1 star.

I cannot find anything to fault Maranui on- the food is delicious and varied, the coffee and juices are well made, the location is perfect (that view!) and the prices are spot on for the overall high quality. The staff are excellent at their jobs given how busy the cafe can get, we've never waited too long for our meals even when the cafe is jam packed -and if there will be a bit of a wait the staff always let you know, so you can grab some of the delicious baking from the cabinet if you're too hungry to wait!
