Copthorne Hotel & Resort Bay of Islands

Loved the place.. calm and serene.. good service and good food

My family stayed here, after receiving a discount voucher, earned through a loyalty scheme. Although the discount only applied for one night, we found it to be a nice place to stay at, so stayed for three nights. The room was small, but very clean and had everything we needed in the room. The bathroom was clean and fresh towels and toiletries were provided every day. There were so many types of swimming or spa pools to enjoy, in the grounds - even though the hotel is right on the water's edge. The hotel is situated next to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and is not far from Paihia, should you want to go shopping. Although the seafood buffet was delicious and varied, if I was to have any complaint about the dining room, it would be the hot food selection. It was very limited and the foods on offer were not compatible. However, there was an a la carte menu available - so no complaints really. I'd stay there again.

Stayed there due to a conference I was attending in the same premise. Food spread was good. Decor was in the 80s, tropical feel. Tired but tidy. Good service and comfortable beds.

Had lunch at the Copthorne Hotel, after doing a tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. The dining room and poolside eatery are great. Sit overlooking, or by, the swimming pools. There is a buffet or set menu. We chose the set menu. The steak was cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced as well. It will be a shame when the school holidays are over!

I love the outdoor pool and spa. It's really pretty. Nice and close to paihia
