Carter Observatory

We come here twonor three times a year because our boys are really into space and the interactive displays are really great for them. We also like to see the little shows in the theater and the kids always like them so much that they don't know they are learning.

Beautiful place/surroundings!! The observatory was great and unique, very informative with plenty to see, and my son was in awe walking around it. It is at the top of a hill where the cable cars are as well, so it makes for a fun day out.

Really neat observatory. They have lots of interactive exhibits that you can play with. Regular mini-movie showings, and a massive historical telescope. Great for families, nice staff too. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon.

A good place to visit in the school holidays. I was impressed with the number of hands on exhibits as well as the little movie showings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we were lucky enough to be there on a day when there was a science show on, which was really interesting.

The planetarium is very relaxing, you can also enter the gift shop for free, it has lots of space related souvenirs you can buy.
