      General Info

      Come and take a historic trip between Lambton Quay and Kelburn, enjoy the views. The cable car operates everyday except Christmas Day and runs every ten minutes from 7am to 10pm Monday to Friday. 8.30am to 10pm Saturday and 8:30am to 9pm Sundays and Public Holidays. The one way trip takes approximately five minutes.

      One of the coolest things we did in Wellington! It's super cheap and goes right up a big hill. It has amazing views at the top with a little museum at the top as well.

      Quite a fun thing to do with out of town visitors and much more efficient than busses. If we are looking for a nice day out with the kids we will park in Willis Street and take the cable car up to the botanical gardens.. I really like the fact that if you miss one car it will only be a few minutes before the next arrives.

      Slow gentle ride up to the botanical gardens. Old cable car was fun to experience. Amazing gardens and playgrounds for the kids at the top. Enjoyed the walk and adventure. Highly recommended.

      Well worth a ride both up and down. Beautiful views if wellington city and the harbour. Gateway to the botanic gardens for a nice lengthy stroll down. Also great as a sgortcut as commuting goes.
