General Info
Come and take a historic trip between Lambton Quay and Kelburn, enjoy the views. The cable car operates everyday except Christmas Day and runs every ten minutes from 7am to 10pm Monday to Friday. 8.30am to 10pm Saturday and 8:30am to 9pm Sundays and Public Holidays. The one way trip takes approximately five minutes.

A must do activity when in Wellington. once at the top can visit the observatory, cable car museum or botanical gardens

You have to do this once when in Wellington! It's such a nostalgic way to travel. Big shiny red cable car will take you to the top of the botanic gardens and back, so you can pack a picnic and make a day of it while enjoying the gardens.

Riding on the iconic red cable car is a must do when in wellington, cool experience and great little trip. Love going through the tunnel and the views at the top are great on a clear day

couldn't believe how cheap it was, well worth the money for the experience. Good for sometime to do when checking out the city. All the staff were friendly and to the car was easy from the city. Also a good museum and cafe at the top of the hill.
