General Info
Come and take a historic trip between Lambton Quay and Kelburn, enjoy the views. The cable car operates everyday except Christmas Day and runs every ten minutes from 7am to 10pm Monday to Friday. 8.30am to 10pm Saturday and 8:30am to 9pm Sundays and Public Holidays. The one way trip takes approximately five minutes.

Super exciting, fun little journey for kids (and adults). Quite cool to see and feel firsthand how it all works. Some great scenery on way up too. Very affordable, and the top of the hill has amazing gardens and carters conservatory to visit at same time. Highly recommend

The walk at the top of the cable car is well worth going around and there is a cool playground to keep the children happy. The view at the top of the cable car is stunning over the bay, although it was very windy.

One of Wellington's key attractions. The history behind the iconic cable car is very interesting and it's definitely worth a ride. Such a shame that the cost of admission is always rising and during cruise ship season the queues are out of control. A good way to see the Botanic Gardens!

Another Wellington attraction which is a must. More of a novelty because the ride is not huge, it is impressive but the ride is an option to something that is walkable. Reach the top a couple of stations later and it is essentially a steep train ride up.

It's good, and not pricey. Good as a tourist thing, and for convenience to get up the hill, but not worth doing multiple times.
