The staff at Bivouac are super helpful and their product knowledge is brilliant. Bivouac is my go to store in Wellington for my outdoor equipment needs.

Good selection of outdoors gear that you wouldn't typically find at other more 'mainstream' stores. They have ropes, carabiners, specialty climbing and alpine equipment. Recommend if you're hard out in your adventure.

They have the best brands and great customer service. A bit on the expensive side but still worth it.

Bivouac remains the best (only?) place in Wellington for a decent selection of climbing hardware, and they have rental crampons, ice axes and avalanche transceivers. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, and -15% NZ Alpine Club member discount!
