Countdown Supermarkets

I enjoy doing my weekly shop here. Staff are always lovely and helpful. There is sometimes a bit of a wait to checkout as others have said, but I haven't found it awful.

Not to impressed with this countdown. When it's busy there's hardly any staff on the counter . Last time I went there was not one loaf of bread or any 1kg blocks of cheese . I do however think the place is clean and tidy but that's about all .

One of my favourite Countdowns. Not huge, but tidy, clean, well set out, and a good variety of options. Not too busy which is great.

There's hardly ever enough checkouts open which means waiting in line for longer than desirable. They seem to only call staff to open more checkouts when there's an extra 3 or 4 people queueing up waiting. I suspect it's because of the numerous self serve lines that are meant to eliminate the need for extra staff, but this hardly helps when you're getting a trolley load of groceries.
The onecard reward system is good. It's always nice to get a voucher in the mail every 3 months but the experience of waiting for a long time to be served does ruin it.
The specials are always great, but the meat, particularly the mince, sometimes seems to be a bit off colour.

Lock Down prices are usually a good deal and the brands of the supermarket, such as Homebrand, Essentials, etc, are good quality.
