The Sugar Club

For my first much anticipated visit to The Sugar Club, I was taken aback when exiting the Sky lift to the spectacular panoramic views of our beautiful city alight as we walked through the chic gold and walnut coloured decor.

We were warmly greeted by our server who was highly attentive and engaging. I absolutely adored all of my dishes: Spiny crayfish saffron linguine followed by the apple and pear suckling pig, finished off with a peanut butter rhubarb dessert. The combination of texture and flavours of beautifully fresh local NZ produce was simply heavenly and harmonious on the palate!

I was quite captivated by the wine selection as well as complementary opening rustic breads, amuse bouche and palate cleanser.

The Sugar Club is a must visit. I'd love to try other savoury dishes following this highly memorable and stunning dining experience not to mention a culinary adventure!

Popped up to the Sugar Club for a couple of drinks and what a nice place. Great drinks menu with some very good cocktails. Did not have time for dinner but the food looked great.

The view here is the place that makes it amazing. All the dishes are beautifully presented, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the savory dishes are delicious. The one criticism would be the selection of the desserts. We tried four of the desserts and only one of them we would have recommended.

EXTRAORDINARY FOOD! Prepared with finesse and style hard to beat. Whole experience amazing, breathtaking views, exceptional service, friendly/informed staff. Will highly reccomend to others and look forward to going again!
