      Póg Mahone's, New Zealand’s most authentic Irish pub, opened in its lakefront location in the heart of Queenstown in 1998 and quickly became a Queenstown icon. The Kiwi and Irish owners wanted to create an authentic Irish atmosphere and so designed and built the pub in Ireland itself then shipped it lock, stock and barrel to New Zealand. At Pógs you can enjoy a lively mix of modern and Celtic music (including regular trad sessions), friendly service and be warmed by open fires in both bars.       Love old Pog Mahones, nearly visit it overtime we are in Queenstown. They do a good hearty meal for a decent price too. Love the Stonegrill.Really enjoyed the mulled wine. Very nice on a cold evening. We recommended this place by a local and did not disappoint! The service was friendly and we all had a really nice time.

      We kept coming back here for the mulled wine and the hot chips and the table underneath the heaters watching the water. Really cool place with a great vibe. Best mulled wine I tried!

      came here on our trip and got grabone voucher to try. i dont recommend the food because only 1 out of 5 of our dishes is good. ordered 2 stone grill plate, one stone was sizzling hot, the other one was lukewarm (and there is chicken to cook on this lukewarm plate!) Not safe! Other food - ribs and steak are cold!! table beside us was complaining about temperature of food too. This is a basic mistake and no common sense at all.

      The service was second to none. The food was perfect, and their specials nights makes it even more appealing. We went twice to get their stonegrill special. The atmosphere was great, we would go back again. In fact, if hubby had his way, we would have gone 6 nights out of 6 :)
