General Info

Póg Mahone's, New Zealand’s most authentic Irish pub, opened in its lakefront location in the heart of Queenstown in 1998 and quickly became a Queenstown icon. The Kiwi and Irish owners wanted to create an authentic Irish atmosphere and so designed and built the pub in Ireland itself then shipped it lock, stock and barrel to New Zealand. At Pógs you can enjoy a lively mix of modern and Celtic music (including regular trad sessions), friendly service and be warmed by open fires in both bars. On the inside it's guaranteed Irish but don't forget to try the sunny lakeside beer garden and balcony from which you can soak up some of New Zealand’s most stunning alpine scenery! If you're looking for some great Craic, friendly service and fantastic Irish hospitality then pop into Póg Mahone's or look us up on Facebook.

Love old Pog Mahones, nearly visit it overtime we are in Queenstown. They do a good hearty meal for a decent price too. Love the Stonegrill. Always a good time here.

A great bar with good entertainment and atmosphere. Enjoyed the band and the service from the staff. Easy to get to on the waterfront. Very handy location. A great social wee place to gather and meet up with friends.

While down in Queenstown we visited this Irish bar and were very pleased, it was good value for the quality of food we had! I had the ribs and my partner had a steak and both were very yummy! The service was also very friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend to family and friends who go down to Queenstown.
