Jervois Steak House

Steak was wonderful. Options for everyone. Server was very knowledgeable and took into account what each of us described we would like to make recommendations particular to everyone in our party. Sides and drinks were also top notch.

Very exclusive steak and seafood place, can choose your own cuts and portion size with accompliments. The restaurant was a little too dark, felt like you were in the Middle Ages. The steak was too salty to taste, but the sides were the best. Service was top notch though.

Best restaurant I’ve tried in Queenstown!

We had the Wagyu firstlight scotch and they were absolutely delicious, tender and perfectly cooked. I lived in Boston for many years and visited a fair amount of steakhouses frequently and Jervois certainly ranks high.

We had the whipped potatoes and truffle parmesan fries as sides. Absolutely delicious, the whipped potatoes were smooth and the fries were crispy.

We also tried the mushroom truffle gnocchi, could live without those. another entre we tried was the beef tartare and that was delicious!

Tried a couple of cocktails as well, peach cobbler and the clover club, definitely recommend both.

Lastly, we had the rhubarb creme brûlée and that was very good as well, a bit sweet for my taste but not bad, and very generous in size.

The overall ambiance was good and service was excellent. Would definitely come back to Jervois!

The best steaks!
Perfectly cooked and I mean perfect! They know how to treat a steak well. So many places fall short of this one.
The sides are a generous sized portion.
Staff were polite and pleasure to serve you.
