Coast Cafe & Restaurant

This restaurant was ok for a simple
Weekend lunch meal out. Was comfortable and had a few options to choose from on the menu. I felt the interior is a wee bit dated or could be made a lot more comfortable. Did have to wait a wee while for our meals but well worth the wait as was cooked brilliantly.

Delicious food, excellent prices, good service, cool interior and summer terrace

Beautifully located with an amazing view over the sea, the food is alright with a large variety on offer, nothing glam but more of a kiwi classic shack type place to eat. A little off the main track but perfect if you are travelling through Kakanui.

A wonderful experience, beautiful service so friendly and helpful and the food was amazing a great menu to choose from and good selection awesome effort guys. We booked in at the Coast Cafe on our way back from Dunedin and had a fantastic meal there. I have to say they have the the best fish and chips I have ever tasted - and the meal portions were very generous - their desserts were equally as delicious - great food and great service

A wide panoramic sea view awaits you. The cafe style food choices might be limited but what they have is really tasty. I was just there for a afternoon tea break so cannot comment on the main menu
