EVENT Cinemas New Plymouth

Not to bad of a cinema up some escalators reasonably priced furring school holidays was nice and clean staff were nice and helpful

Went to the Lego Ninjago Movie yesterday with one of the kids and we really enjoyed ourselves. Was good that the Adult ticket cost was cheaper during the school holidays for a change. Bought tickets online but paying $1.20 per ticket online is ridiculous. I can understand a booking fee per booking but not PER SEAT. Other than that the experience was good.

we have no other cinema in New Plymouth to give this a proper rating, I'm a BIG cinema goer and just find most staff a lil unfriendly....If you book online and want goodies please beware that you have to order them online too at the same time, the things I like to have however ain't online to order which means we have to queue up twice...one to get our online tickets and then in the reg line for our cinema treats - however, this does not deter me from using the complex :)

Brilliant cinema complex with 5 cinemas so there is generally a great selection of movies every screening session time slot. I have been coming here for many years and the complex keeps modernising over the years and "keeping up with the times". Of course the pricing is higher including the food and drinks from the candy bar but people fail to remember that this is due the high costs of operating to cover costs of using the movie reels etc. It is definitely a fabulous experience, we took our 6 year old for his first movie recently and his enjoyment was priceless! Clean and tidy cinemas and large complex with entertainment area. Love it here!

Staff are always incredibly helpful, an amazing area and awesome atmosphere.
