What an amazing place to visit!
We were in New Plymouth for the day and decided to check it out.
We couldn’t believe it was free and had amazing animals. The playground is also great, overall the zoo is clean, tidy and very well kept

Such a cute little zoo, plenty to see and do. Obviously doesn't have more experience tic animals like lions, tigers etc. but has some cute monkeys, sea otters and gorgeous birds - one that even climbs on your arm!! (Although it's not encouraged!) lots of critters and farm animals to see, a small playground and some neat photo opportunities, all free!

Such a gem. We love coming here. The central playground keeps the youngest entertained in between meeting the animals. Easy to spend a few hours here

The best zoo in New Zealand, plenary of live interactions with animals, including feeding and educational talks. Extremely well looked after.
