Great place in the village. The food is tasty and good quality, the coffee is fine and the location is very central. The food is made pretty fresh and this coupled with the popularity of the place means you sometimes have to wait a while to get service and your order, but it is worth the wait.

I had scrambled eggs on sour dough bread and my husband had a full breakfast. Both hit the spot and were very tasty. I had a trim latte and hubby a long black, both coffees were a tad disappointing, but my husband's second coffee was pronounced much better. I brought a date scone to take away, and that was perfect with a cup of tea later in the day.

We stopped for breakfast here before visiting the chocolate shop. It was delicious. The haloumi was well cooked and eggplant was tasty. My daughter loved the waffles. Friendly staff and well made coffee. The chocolate shop was a bit overpriced.

We visit Bennetts every time we go up to Mangawhai (5-10 times a year). The food and service has always been great and the chocolates unreal! However the last time we visited it seems like the prices have sky rocketed. I guess its still worth it.
