Great place in the village. The food is tasty and good quality, the coffee is fine and the location is very central. The food is made pretty fresh and this coupled with the popularity of the place means you sometimes have to wait a while to get service and your order, but it is worth the wait.

Well worth the journey here as part of a day outing. Amazing cafe with delicate flavoured chocolates and a strong coffee to match. Make sure you take home their chocolate bars as presents. A well presented shop and interiors, very welcoming.

Third visit to the café which is next to the chocolate factory.
We loved our first visit just over a year ago but went 8 months ago and then again today when we were disappointed with the service.
Today we went and ordered 1 cappuccino and 1 latte. The service was not quick but we were okay with that as they were busy.
However, when the waiter (also the manager for a year he informed us)brought the drinks they appeared to be 2 lattes and were identical.
When we queried this he came across as rather arrogant with his response (despite saying that they were 2 lattes as he put them in front of us)he said that 1 was definitely a cappuccino and was just lacking the chocolate on top which he then returned and added with another comment to us which spoiled the experience of being in a lovely location which we had detoured to visit.

One of the best cafe's around the Mangawhai region. Exceptional brunch but the wait time is often quite long. There is a nice chocolate boutique in the same building to go for a dessert after.
