      A wide and interesting range of beers brewed for the Sprig & Fern chain of pubs. Good English pub decor and atmosphere (consistent throughout the chain) and basic but well prepared and presented bar food.

      Worst experience here. My partner and I walked in (I was 21, my partner 24) and straight away got followed to the back and asked for ID. When several people walked in, around the same age and never even got looked at. We were with my family (dad, uncle, cousin, her partner) and family friends. No one of them got asked either. I had my ID but my partner didn’t. He’s huge, tall, and obviously not 18, had everyone vouching for him but they still kicked him out. So we ended up having to leave. I know the law and policy is policy but come on- singled out the only brown guy in the bar. Absolutely appalling.

      We went for a drink here at the weekend, there was a wide selection of reasonably priced drinks (beers didn't check out the wines), the bar looked clean. There was entertainment, live music.
