      The fish and chips and lobster were very good, but this is a local sports bar used by a lot of the road construction guys and it may not suit all tastes.

      A day trip to Kaikoura to inject a bit of cash into the tills of COVID hit businesses. 4 of us had lunch and drinks. Good and attentive service. 2 fish meals, a pork belly and roast of the day were ordered. All arrived in a timely manner and were well presented. Tasty and good portions. $158 for meals and 2 rounds of drinks.

      Great night at the Lobster Inn Tavern for an evening meal. Very busy due to Labour weekend, so although had to wait some time for our meals the friendly manager apologised and gave us a complimentary dessert . Band from 8pm was really good listening.
