Lido Cinema

Really cool cinema, its feels really fancy and slightly old-fashioned but in an old Hollywood way. Really comfy seats, good food selection and really friendly staff!

The Lido is a really comfortable cinema which shows a lot of excellent films. The decor is over the top with chandeliers and fleur de lil carpet and wallpaper.

Parking can be a pain, but it's well worth the effort. There is a strong old-world charm all throughout this venue, and it is one of the only cinemas around that will screen some of the more art-house titles.
Elegance and comfort are two of the watchwords for this cinema, with a classic decor that will take you back to the hey-days of cinema when it was something of a treat, a special occasion, rather than today's cinemas who focus more on maximum bums in seats.
I always enjoy my visits to this cinema, and I take every opportunity to see titles of interest that screen here.

This theatre feels a little more 'adult' than the standard theatres. The selection of movies are less blockbuster and more Arts.
The theatre itself is beautiful, a wine beforehand or to take in with you is available, they sell rush monroes ice cream (bonus!) and people are chilled and have a happy vibe about them. Haven't seen any kids here, a bit quieter than the bigger cinemas.

The Lido is a wonderful theatre. It is well presented, in an excellent location in downtown Hamilton. They show excellent movies in very comfortable theatres.
