      Friendly and supportive staff, wide range of hiking and camping apparel and equipment, lots of sales.. The staff will even inform you of upcoming sales so don't spend on full price items unless you badly need them. One minus point that they have much more limited range than the online shop, even when the website says there is stock at Dunedin store

      Kathmandu have really good sales end of season. They have great warm jackets and outdoor gear. The staff are helpful. The product is high quality too, I have had a tramping pack that has lasted 10 years now.

      Their clothing is great for Dunedin weather and activities like tramping. While they are quite expensive it is good quality stuff and lasts forever.
