Tarras Country Cafe

This cafe is a long way from anywhere and we had no great expectations. However, the coffee was amazing with a crema that lasted all the way to the bottom and the ham & cheese croissant was to die for (the light touch of grain mustard was the master stroke)

We stopped here during a daily outing. The coffee was lovely & the date scone was so enormous we share it. The service was quick, pleasant & very helpful.

Really nice little cafe in Tarras, with an old school country feel. The food was good, and the staff helpful. I would recommend checking out the country store next door, as it has a lot of locally made things, among other bits and pieces.

great wee country store. All sort of souvenirs and local bits and pieces. They have the Fairlie made pies, that are meals in themselves and worth a try, and Zara is is very friendly. Worth stopping in, if cruising by.

arrived here on our road trip in south island as it is located on the way. very nice vintage cafe, the crumble blueberry cheesecake was delicious. the wraps and sandwiches are good too! staff also helped us heat up the place as it was too cold!
