      We all thoroughly enjoyed our tea out tonight.. I had the chef special of a beef burger and fries and a side of onion rings (oh my god the onion rings) and then vanilla cheesecake, my partner had the same but have chocolate brownie and orange sorbet and my Mum had the beef schnitzel, salad and chips with gravy and raspberry ambrosia ... And wow what a meal..we were full and happy!!!

      Really a unique bar which has been rebuilt since the earthquakes. Still has original well in the bar. Reasonably priced meals and a good selection of food.

      We had a sheltered gazebo outside. The staff were very accommodating and made sure there was gas heaters and the bits and bobs we needed. Huge tree for kids to play on with rope swing.

      A sweet historic place where we had a great lunch one afternoon. It was such a lovely setting and the building itself is stunning. The food was great and staff were friendly.
