Pretty impressed with the range of animals and cleanliness of the cages. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as the park is spread out. Restaurant coffee average and food descent, I was disappointed at the pricing of food as it's above the norm for chch. That said though an enjoyable couple hours out.

Great place to visit for a family day out! There are a range of different animals on display, including many african animals. There is a feeding programme that runs throughout the day, allowing you to see the animals a bit closer. There is a farmyard section which is a great hit with the kids. There is also an awesome playground (including a trampoline), and a yummy cafe that sells great little "lunch box packs" for the kids. There park is quite large, but there is a shuttle bus that travels around the park if you feel like giving your legs a rest. The annual pass is well worth investing in.

A large zoo with lots of animals. Loved feeding the giraffe. Make sure you check for the events schedule on the map or you will miss it. Great place for the kids.

Best time out there with the family. But if a walk so pack some snacks for the kids. Definitely plan a day there so you can break it up with a picnic.

I can't believe there are so many positive reviews. I visited here again last week and was extremely disappointed. The entry price is extemely dear considering how run down the place is these days. A few exhibits had no animals in them, the farmyard was half empty. It seems uncared for and unkept. Not impressed for the price you pay to enter.
