Stardome Observatory & Planetarium

We came here as a birthday party, everyone enjoyed the light show and the kids, all had an amazing interactive, fun and educative time together.

Took the kids to the Stardome during the school holidays and they loved it! We went through the small museum section first then we were seated within 20 minutes. After that we brought some snacks at the gift shop and the kids played on the flying fox outside on the park. To top it off we hiked up the top of One Tree Hill took some photos and called it a day. Great fun for the family!

Went there for the Grand Tour of the Solar System and was a nice experience, very informative.
Tickets were sold out, however, staff was kind to put us on waitlist and luckily we got seats.
Also got to use the telescope to view the night sky which was great.

Great activity for kids during the day. The evening shows are interactive and informative for adults.

Set in a beautiful environment. Very interesting talks. Something different. A must to visit for both residents and visitors to Auckland.
