Satya South Indian Cafe

Tucked in a little ally. Would not have found it if it wasn’t for a friend who is a regular. Seating area was cool. Drinks were very average (got hit and iced chai). Staff were nice and kept checking on us. Prices were very reasonable.

Would never return, went in for lunch with a group of 10 and placed the orders. Orders start to arrive 40mins later, with dishes missing and everything pretty much tasting the same.
On questioning the staff we find out there was no chef, food was cooked by wait staff. Asked the staff about the missing dishes, apparently they were never noted down.
Getting into the toilet is a story in itself.

Consistently good quality everytime! I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count and not once has it been anything other than great! The food is some of the best Indian I have had anywhere in the world! Highly highly recommended!!

There is no better Southern Indian in Auckland!. This place hasn't ever disappointed in the decade I have been going and whenever I'm in Auckland it's one of the first places I go. Try the Dahi puri you won't regret it.

This is by far the best south indian restaurant in Auckland. We have tried various other places for dosas and other south Indian delicacies but Satya is the best one so far. The staff is super friendly and our most favourite dishes are chicken curry and Rava masala doss. Highly recommended for all those whi relish authentic south Indian cuisine
