Rialto Cinemas

Loved the movie Lion King in 3d here. Parking is easy, there is a parking garage across the road. $9.- for full day on Sunday. The cinema consists of a number of movie rooms, I believe 9 in total. Access to any of these is through 2 rather narrow and claustrophobic corridor. I am not sure how this will work out if a fire breaks out there.
The movie room 5 we were in looked tired, with some wall and ceiling panels missing. Could do with an upgrade.

My favourite cinema in Auckland! Nice atmosphere, gets me excited to see the movie. Lots of nice seating/couches, great selection of Kapiti scoop ice cream, as well as a bar! Also, the bathrooms have always been very clean and nicely kept every time I have been. Cinemas are clean and larger than you expect.

The interior is very nice and the screens are a good size, never too crowded and they show a great range of movies that can't always be found elsewhere. Nice coffee shop/bar on the side that does snacks and drinks.

The service and film selection at Rialto is always impeccable. I particularly enjoy the Kapiti scoop ice range and the international film festival selections that come through from overseas.
Rialto normally have a range of special deals throughout the week and the cinemas are always clean and well up kept. It’s always a positive cinema experience at Rialto.

The last time I went the ticket prices were fine but they had no popcorn at all and the selection of food was poor. The staff were friendly though
