Prego Restaurant

The menu was very comprehensive, with a range of specials too. We shared a duck liver parfait, then tasted one another’s rare beef fillet and pasta with capers, olives, oil, parsley and garlic - simple but perfectly cooked and served. Then an affogato each with the most delicious vanilla bean gelato.

Came here in a group of around 10, I had the Seafood Linguini. The photo doesn’t give the dish enough credit, it was generously packed with fatty tuna, mussels and cockles. The portion size was generous and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The Tiramisu desert was also of a generous size and some of the best Tiramisu I’ve ever tried. The restaurant was really noisy, almost to the extent where you’d have to nearly yell to talk. We were seated by the kitchen, which didn’t help with noise levels. Our waitress was friendly, helpful and attentive. :)

Amazing restaurant, the food is to die for and the atmosphere and staff never disappoint

Their service is warm and friendly. The food is so tasty. Not disappoint at all. The atmosphere is nice. Their staff were so helpful and polite to customers. Enjoyed the dinner very much. Looking for the next dinner chance at it soon.

Extremely consistent quality here- a bit of an Auckland classic and I love their Pizzas. Classic Italian, beautiful thin bases and always fresh.
