Spent the afternoon with the family, loads of exhibitions and stuff to learn for kids. We enjoyed the sailing and feel the breeze out on the water.

A smaller museum, but because it is right on the waterfront. Very accessible and easy to find. Very interesting exhibits too.

A fascinating, modern museum. A terrific way to spend a few hours. It's even better, on a fine day. I guess, because you enter the museum after seeing all the boats on the Waitemata Harbour. You can take a guided tour if you want or wander around by yourself. Kids would love it as well. They run holiday programmes for kids and there's the opportunity to go sailing on different vessels on different days. The museum is free to Auckland residents, but the entry for others is reasonable. All sailings are extra. Highly recommended.

Super informative. Love their immigration boat display, which personal stories. Must do one of their boat trips. Great fun day out

Great area to really feel the maritime history. Lots of great information and a quick place for a visit when in town.
