Monsoon Poon Auckland

We had the shaky beef? it was divine. So was the chicken satay and the thai beef salad. Fresh and zingy and the balance of flavours was just right.Ambience was great, we enjoyed watching the chefs in the kitchen too.

The food was to a high standard. Very tender beef, the green beans were crisp loved the Nasi Goreng. Noodles were really tasty. The lettuce cups a MUST. Coconut rice was delicious.

Great atmosphere, great service, fantastic food. Would definitely recommend coming here for a work function and would eat there again.

We regularly visit Monsoon Poon but it had been at least a year since our last visit. Although odd at first downtown was so much quieter to the last Friday we were in town and excitedly we had no wait in the bar to get a table here. ( You usually have to wait as the place is buzzing...but that was pre-Covid era). We were seated straight away :-) As on prior visits food is divine and atmosphere just immersive. Covid spacing was never a issue - app codes and hand sanitizer clearly available. Service prompt and friendly. Simply a favourite restaurant and able to follow up with a walk around America Cup Village as the sun went down

Really enjoyed our meal at Monsoon Poon, authentic Thai / Chinese fusion meals. Curry particularly tasty. Chicken wings also good. Happy hour 5-7pm made drinks well priced.
