What a total disappointment - after reading all the great reviews online and Peter Calder's review in the Herald (I think he needs to get out more!), I had very high expectations ... even decided to order two of the dishes that Calder raved about. Firstly the service was practically non-existent. A waitress finally blessed us with her presence after a 45 minute wait (thank goodness we took our own wine!), so it was a full hour before we saw any food or drinks. I ordered Takoyaki (Japanese Octopus Balls) and found them to be totally lacking in flavour and rubbery. Then went on to order the Prawn & Eggplant Larb, which had very few prawns or eggplant and was basically a mountain of coriander swamped in Fish Sauce. My daughter ordered the Duck Larb and after tasting one miniscule slither of duck announced that she didn't like it, so I swapped my prawn one with her - she doesn't like eggplant, but that wasn't a problem as it was hard to locate anyway and after eating two prawns, there may have been a couple left for her, but terrible value at $25.50. The Duck Larb was $22.00 and again there was very little duck and what there was turned out to be fatty and tasteless. Didn't even bother with desserts and went home hungry - definitely won't be going back again!

This place is great with easy parking out the back. The food is fantastic- you must try the anchovies and peanuts- even if you don't like anchovies! The service is great, it is lovely and clean and the food is to die for. You can even sit outside if it is hot.
