Across the street from our hotel so we decided to try it. Basic decor. I ordered a coke with ice. Server said they did not have ice but the coke is very, very cold. He brought the can and is was very cold and didn't need ice. I asked for a straw and was informed they didn't have straws. So I asked for a glass and got a glass. Hubby ordered the spicy beef soup and I ordered the bbq beef

Good Korean food at the CBD. Prices are resonable

This place is located along the main street of Auckland CBD. The restaurant offers authentic Korean dishes. Quality of food is pleasing but not the best in town. Staff are nice and the place is well kept.

We had bibim noodle and spicy rice cake, both are great. The free side dish are also nice, we enjoyed very much and will come back again. The staff are friendly as well.

Kang Nam Station is great for a reliable cheap eat. It looks like there's only a few tables out front, but the secret is to go into the back where there's more seating. It's a lot quieter there away from the kitchen, and there's a TV playing kpop music very quietly too. The staff were very friendly and came pretty quickly when you press the bell at the table. Most dishes are around 15 to 20 dollars each. Water is self service.

I had the dumpling soup with rice cakes, which was surprisingly large portioned and filling. There were at least 8 dumplings filled with minced pork and tofu skin. There were also lots of vegetables and rice cake slices, all topped with some seaweed. The soup was refreshing and flavourful, no doubt because of how many ingredients were floating in it.

You also get side dishes to share, which you can request refills of. There was a salty seaweed salad, delicious sweet potato cubes, bean sprouts and sliced dried tofu. They were all delicious and I was really happy that there weren't any spicy side dishes.

Overall, this is a great place for a filling and healthy cheap eat in the Queen St vicinity.
