EVENT Cinemas

The location is convenient. Good place to drop the kids if you want to multitask & get other stuff done as well. Prices of tickets & food a bit pricey but what isn’t these days.

Not a bad cinema. Comfy seats. However, I would recommend buying your tickets online so as to avoid long queues.

Highly disappointed by last visit to Manukau event cinemas. Firstly when in the middle of trying to book tickets online suddenly the booking disappeared and no screenings were showing for the cinema. I tried to call the cinema and nobody answered the phone (this was during normal day hours). Eventually found out over facebook that the cinema had closed until further notice. Finally was able to book tickets online after several hours. Once at the cinema with plenty of time till the movie started at 9pm, ordered some food at 8.45pm and were told by staff that they no longer delivered food into cinema as was done last time we visited. They said the food would be ready on time. It was a basic order of 2 hotdogs and wedges which shouldn't take long. At 9.05 pm after waiting 20 mins I asked when the food would be ready as the movie had started and staff said it would only be a couple of minutes. At 9.15pm I asked for a refund as we had missed the start of the movie waiting for half an hour for food and didn't want to wait any longer. As I was talking the food was brought out and we made our way into the movie, barely able to see as all the lights were out and having missed 20 minutes of the film. No apology was given at all and staff could have offered to bring the food in if they were running late but they didn't bother. Very poor customer service. Next time will bring in our own food and not ever bother ordering the expensive cinema food again!

Cinema is awesome here!!! Staff are friendly

We used to go there with family and enjoy watching movies over the weekend.Located in a nice place and plenty of parking available. We enjoy eating popcorns and chocolates
