General Info
**City Works Depot** was developed from humble beginnings as Auckland Council Workshops, and has survived many reincarnations. Through restoration centred on retaining the original raw materials of this historic industrial space, steel, concrete, glass and robust timbers, this has led to the creation of contemporary industrial spaces with a stunning sense of scale and raw authenticity. These spaces have become home to creative and talented hospitality groups including: * Best Ugly Bagels * The Botanist * The Food Truck Garage * Weirdough & Tuck * Odettes Eatery * Brothers Beer

There is a wide range of vegetarian options. I would love to try them all. I was quite busy when we went there. The staff are very friendly. The food was amazing too. It was funny how they kept on refilling our water every time we finished our glass or even just when it was half full.

Been hanging out to explore this place! We end up going to Weirdough & Tuck...
They put their prices up for the jaffles so ended up not getting an extra but did try the soft shell crab roll. Mmmm really good, those brioche buns, surprisingly rich.
In general this was on of the Auckland places for me that lived up to the hype still, worth a visit!

Awesome development. love the fact that there are a range of shops from food, beauty to retail. Heaps of parking available over the multiple levels. I recommend trying odettes and best ugly bagels. both are great.

The bustling camaderie of service at Best Ugly Bagels at City Works Depot, is simply impressive. Working like a well tuned beehive, my order of a cream cheese bagel was whipped within a good pace during a very busy period.
Their bagels are delicious to order to dine or takeaway or to buy to take home and toast. Although there was a bit too much cream cheese slathered on top, it was nothing a knife to remove some, couldn’t handle. And better more than less.
It’s a must try dining experience for brunch!

During my first visit to City Works Depot I was overwhelmed by how many impressive eateries were contained with the complex.
I really felt spoiled for choice on where to lunch but reached the conclusion that I’ll return again to try other cafes to really experience this impressive retail dining Mecca!
Best advice is to turn up just before 12 as all the crowds swarm in for lunch!
