Carmen Jones

Great interior, clean and cosy environment, friendly staff. I think this restaurant is the best in Auckland, a really Michelin Restaurant. The interior design, vibe, presenting, hospitality and also the food, I can say its impeccable. Definitely will be back!

We happened across Carmen Jones when deciding to have dinner before cocktail bar hopping along K Rd. We were attentively and cordially welcomed into the world of Latin American inspired Carmen Jones.
The resident DJ added to the ambience of such a trendy chic restaurant with dim lightly and iconic Hispanic heroes lining the walls, Fidel Castro, Sofia Loren, Frida Kahlo. The interior was so stylish and thematic not to mention, cosy and intimate.
For dinner, I enjoyed the chorizo potatas and the market fish which was divine and my friends enjoyed the Lamahjun and loaded chips. The food was lovely along with the wine selection and service. Highly recommended!

Great decor and atmosphere. Three for dinner, two of us vegetarian, so nice to have a vegetarian menu available. The "dawg fries" were fun. They came dressed in ketchup, mustard and aioli. I had the pork belly. Half a peeled and baked apple on top of a generous portion of pork belly with a cider, really, really good. The other two shared the Escalivada platter and the vegetarian Hummus for Syria. They loved it!

We overall had a great experience here, was different to what we have had before. The food was very tasty and presented well. Staff were extremely friendly. Great find

Carmen jones offers amazing food and excellent service- chicken schnitzel and pizza are yum. Well priced for what you get. I highly recommend
