Banzai Restaurant

Great tasty Japanese food for any night of the week. Took a little while to get our meals because they were super busy, but when they came they were enjoyed very much. Great prawn dishes options.Here I saw the best vegan options I've ever seen at a Japanese restaurant and on Dominion road.

I wasnt too impressed with the food selection, guess ive expected too much seeing the rating this place got.
My husband was happy with his order.. mine was just ok, my katsudon was average. Didnt expect for the mayo to be drizzled all over the pork.
The ambiance is nice and cosy, place is clean and so is their toilet which is very important.
I would have given a 3.5-3.75 stars.. but since theres no option for that- ive rounded it to 4 stars.

Great place to get sushi, I used to live around the corner from here so would frequently come and get it for lunch. They have a good range of sushi roll flavours, the salmon being my go to. Staff are very friendly and theres even space to sit down if you want to eat there. Definitely will continue going back.

Highly recommend this spot. Tiny and cosy, staff are friendly and food is authentic. So far the best japanese I've had in auckland good prices too

We chose Banzai based on reviews when we were in the area and were not disappointed. It was a fantastic experience: we loved the freshly made dumplings, rice dish and most of all the sushi. We even ordered another sushi which was beautifully presented as well as delicious. We left overall pleased, thank you - also grateful for the sweet staff.
