Auckland Zoo

Great zoo with lots of happy animals in a variety of natural habitats. Lots of interactive things for kids to do and play with. Food at the cafe can be expensive, but you can bring in your own food for picnics.

Probably best Zoo in NZ. Just visited, they have upgraded some of their enclosures or in the process which is great. We really liked the Mercats. Also enjoyed the feeding times. Bit expensive but defiantly a full day of entertainment.

Over the years, it has amazed me to watch the auckland zoo slowly be developed and improved. I love it how they now allow visitors to interact with the animals, and how they have a timetable for all the feeding sessions of the animals and what not. Its such a big area however, I feel that they need more benches and chairs around the premises for those that arent fortunate enough to be able to stand on their feet for hours and hours on end.

Great fun day out. Great place to take kids. Lots cool animals

Love this zoo, annual passes are great value, good variety of things for kids to see. Would recommend going early during peak times to find a park.
