The staff are lovely but the waiting times are crazy only go here if after hours and no other option.

Have always had really great, efficient attention and medical care at this place. The doctors and nurses are fantastic and they have an x-ray and pharmacy on site which makes it very convenient. It can be expensive and even child rates are more expensive than other places but you do get what you pay for in my opinion. I have wasted money at other places to end up here for a second opinion and wish I had of just spent the little bit extra the first time around!

A good A&E place if need be. Probably not the best place to go for good service but quick to respond and escalate to Auckland Hospital if need be.

trust me , if you have an emergency, dont go there , long wait is necessary, unless you are dying soon.

Came in as emergency to this hospital with severe upper stomach pains. The pain was as later discovered due to gall stones. Anyone who ever experienced it will know it's can be worse than giving birth. The receptionist got annoyed that my partner asked her for me to be seen as I was in a lot of pain. The nurse and then the doctor took over half an hour writing notes before giving any pain relief. Doctor had the worst bed side manner I have even come across. I could barely speak due to pain and when he asked me a question I could only whisper to which he rudely replied " you gonna have to speak up'. why doesn't he gets off his chair and stands closer to listen or how about ' I'm sorry I could barely hear would you mind repeating yourself'. Unfortunately it's how people make you feel at the worst times you remember. After finally getting some pain relief after which I was absolutely fine, he ordered for an ambulance to pick me up even though my partner was with me who then by the way got to the hospital before i did. I have heard many times people say that this hospital makes you take the ambulance without any good reason but perhaps extra cash. The doctor's exhuberant bill arrived faster than the pain relief he gave me! my experience at this place has always been bad and I've just never bothered to write anything. After speaking to my friends and family, NO ONE had a good experience here. You are much better off going to the public hospital where you may also have to wait just like at this hospital but won't have to deal with rude staff or pay ridiculous bills. I don't mind paying as I have insurance so it's not a sore point for me but its the fact that is how this practice operates that needs to be flagged up.
