I've been seeing John for years, and his father before that. John is very pleasant, informative and always puts me at ease during my appointment. John's prices are not the cheapest, but neither are they the most expensive compared to other opticians. The price includes a number of eye tests that check the full health of your eyes. Some of these tests could possibly be excluded if you want a cheaper consultation, but bear in mind that these tests are about early detection of eye problems, so you may not want to exclude them. John also provides prescription products that likewise are not the cheapest or most expensive but which represent good quality products that will last longer and not damage your eyes. John is honest about your eyes and won't recommend a product you don't need. If he has nothing you like, he will happily write your prescription down for you so you can purchase glasses elsewhere. I can happily recommend John.

Appalling, this optometrist just does not know his stuff but says he has 30 years’ experience, bit of a laugh. I have had a terrible experience with him trying to get contacts fitted. He simply could not do the job and he did not even know the correct information, I wanted daily disposables and he said it was impossible didn’t even try. Took my money and did not even have the decency to refund for the job he could not do. I went in being quoted a $125 and ended charging me without even warning $145. I went to OPSM in Remuera, optometrist was Katherine, I went in with no hope but to my surprise the young optometrist in one go fitted my contacts from scratch. I have daily disposable contacts that fit my astigmatism perfectly.
